Goodmorning everybody! This is for sure the "fashion-sad-news" week.
Some days ago Balenciaga has announced that Nicolas Ghesquière, its creative director of 15 years, will leave the brand. Ghesquière's last day will be Nov. 30.
In a statement, Ghesquière's boss and PPR CEO, Francois-Henri Pinault, called the designer "an incomparable creative talent" who "brought to Balenciaga an artistic contribution essential to the unique influence of the house."
There's no word yet on who will replace Ghesquière but for sure it will be very difficult to find another talent like him.

Buongiorno!!! Questa è ufficialmente la settimana delle "fashion-sad-news" (o almeno dal mio punto di vista).
Qualche giorno fa infatti, Balenciaga ha annunciato che Nicolas Ghesquière -Direttore Creativo da ormai 15 anni - lascerà la Maison. L'ultimo giorno ufficiale dello stilista sarà il 30 Novembre.
H.Pinault - CEO del gruppo PPR - lo ha definito "un talento senza paragoni, un Direttore Creativo che ha dato un contributo essenziale e unico alla Maison francese".
Non ci sono notizie in merito a chi lo sostituirà ma sicuramente sarà davvero difficile trovare un altro talento di questo calibro così bravo nell'interpretare il mood Balenciaga (non facile).
