Another interesting fashion collaboration is coming this year: Target has announced that it will partner with Phillip Lim.
Lim's collection, which will include designs for men and women, is scheduled to be in Target stores on Sept. 15, three days after presentations of the Spring 2014 collections will wrap up in New York City. The prices, according to The Wall Street Journal, will range between $20 and $75, and bags for both men and women will be priced under $60. Men's and women's leather jackets, however, will be priced between $250 and $300.
In a video teasing the collection, Lim said, "What interested me about this opportunity was making it a wardrobe for the modern-day citizen with their multifaceted multitextural lives that happen to be always on the go. It ranges from a t-shirt to a gown to a carry-on bag."
Phillip Lim was born in Thailand and grew up in Orange County California and - he admitted himself - for a long time he didn’t even know that fashion was even an option for his future. After studying Finance and Business at college it became really clear that this was not the career path for him!
He launched his first collection back in 2004 with the help of his friend and fabric supplier, Wen Zhou, and his line of clothing was critically acclaimed by other designers, magazine editors, celebrities and punters alike!

Un'altra interessantissima fashion collaboration è in arrivo quest'anno: Target ha appena annunciato che collaborerà con Phillip Lim.
La collezione disegnata da Lim, che comprenderà capi maschili e femminili, sarà lanciata negli store Target, il 15 settembre, tre giorni dopo la presentazione della collezione Spring Summer 2014 a New York. I prezzi, da rumors del Wall Street Journal, saranno compresi tra $20 e $75, mentre i capi un po’ “più preziosi” come ad esempio le giacche di pelle, avranno un prezzo compreso tra $250 e $300.
Nel video di presentazione di questo interessante progetto, Lim ha detto: "Quello che mi interessa di questa opportunità di collaborazione è riuscire a realizzare un guardaroba per il cittadino moderno, sempre in movimento. Si va dalle t-shirt agli abiti fino ad arrivare ai bagagli a mano".
Per chi non lo conoscesse bene, Phillip Lim è nato in Thailandia ed è cresciuto a Orange County California e - come lui stesso ha ammesso - per lungo tempo non ha mai valutato la moda come opzione per la sua carriera lavorativa. Dopo gli studi in Finanza e Business al college però possiamo dire che “ha aperto gli occhi" capendo che questo non era certo il percorso per lui!
La sua prima collezione viene lanciata nel 2004 con l'aiuto dell'amico e fornitore di tessuti, Wen Zhou, ed ha subito un feedback positivo all’interno del settore: viene infatti acclamata dalla critica, dagli altri designer, editors , celebrities e non meno importante dai consumatori!
